When Matador Records asked me to make a film for Car Seat Headrest’s new album, I didn’t have a script—just a feeling. I was honored by the trust Will Toledo gave me to interpret this track as we built the piece together from instinct: a shared love of silent cinema, horror, surrealism, and truth. We kept chasing something raw, something haunted, something human.
